...is still one step forward.
And, that's how I choose to look at the last week. I was doing really well and keeping up with my food diary, I was staying under my calorie goal and I have been running every day. So, that's the good news.
The bad news is that I had a particularly bad run on Saturday morning. Although I had a good time running with Brian and Lynn, the miles were brutal and I had no pep in my step. In the planning stages, we were going to do a 10K course twice. In reality, we barely got through once. So, 6.2 miles done, good. Not getting 12.4, bad.
At work yesterday we had a party in the morning for our CIO's birthday. I ate way more than I should have and just continued to eat bad all day. I'm pretty sure that calorie counts for a day shouldn't have 5 digits....just saying.
The last bad thing is my left knee. It continues to bother me after runs and I'm thinking that another trip to the doctor is in order. I ran 4 miles this morning and it doesn't hurt when I run, but it really is bothering me now so I'm debating what I should do. I'm hoping that, at the worst, I'll make a trip to the doc and get a cortisone shot.
On the fundraising front, I'm beginning the process of designing/ordering t-shirts. There's a St. Jude logo that I can use (with their permission) that will be on the front and on the back will, hopefully, be the words "Fight On!" The cool thing about these shirts is that the words on the back aren't visible until you sweat. So, as you're killing it on the trails or roads, Fight On! will appear on the back of the shirt. This is the logo for the front:
I may take off the "Proud Participant" part. I think that more people will want the shirts without that and, hopefully, St. Jude won't mind that part. The shirts will cost me about $20/each when it's all said and done so I'm thinking that I'll sell them for $25/$30 each. I may make a second set with our team name, Caleb's Courage, on it to sell to other people on the team.
That's it for now. Don't forget to donate. You can click on the link on the right to get to my fund raising page or you can contact me for an address to send a check.
